ENGLISH LANGUAGE CLUB (ELC)

January Semester
- The Chronicler: Pen-a-LOL
A creative writing competition on the theme humour. Response: 13 contestants on short story, poem and comic categories. Number of audience approximately 80 people. VIPs were advisors of the club.
- Mass Gathering Earth Hour
In support of Earth Hour, ELC organized a mass gathering for all members to participate the hour without electricity. Response: 20 members of ELC.
- Mass Gathering CNY
To celebrate CNY, ELC organized a gathering for the members. Response: 25 members of ELC.
- Mass Gathering Election
An election within the club is conducted in search of new leaders. Response: 20 members of ELC.
- Teens in Campus
A collaboration effort with ERT. Response: Facilitators from both ELC and ERT with students from school.
-Minggu Mesra Kampus
- ChildPro
Participated with ChildPro committees by raising funds. Response: 10 members of ELC.
- Heart of Tronoh, HOT
Official campus bulletin in collaboration with ELC, MPP and Medtech. Response: Throughout UTP.
- Mass Gathering Introduction
Introducing new board of the club to members. Response: 25 members of ELC.
- Mass Gathering Halloween
Halloween-themed gathering with games organized for members. Response: 15 members of ELC.
- The Chronicler: Love is in the Air
The second of its kind with the theme love. Response: 20 entries on short story, poem, comic and blog categories. Number of audience approximately 50 people. VIP was advisor of the club.
- Flamin’ Lips
Singing team in ELC performed in Mass Gatherings, The Chroniclers and Rotaract Introductory Night.
- Minggu Mesra Kampus
- New logo and motto of club
Upgraded logo of ELC with a new motto: ‘Journey Beyond Language’. Response: All members of club.
